District Transparency

What are Healthcare Districts? Healthcare Districts are public entities that provide community-based health care services to residents throughout the state. They respond to the needs in their District by providing a range of services, which may include:

  • Hospitals and clinics
  • Skilled nursing facilities
  • Emergency medical services
  • Education and wellness programs

Each of California's Healthcare Districts is governed by a locally elected Board of Trustees who are directly accountable to the communities they serve.

PLANS & REPORTS

  • Community Health Needs Assessment: Northern Inyo Healthcare District conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years to identify the health priorities of our region. This collaborative effort gathers input from residents, local organizations, and public health experts to ensure our healthcare services align with the community's needs. The CHNA guides our strategies for improving access to care, promoting wellness, and addressing key health challenges in our area.
